Frankly I find it hard to understand all the excitement of these days for the new Powermat the induction charger ( almost) universal that promises to revolutionize your charger. Meanwhile do a couple of classic examples of technological equipment and related fees:
- iPhone => Powermat (€ 89.90) + iPhone Case (€ 39.90) = € 129.80
- iPhone + iPod Classic => Expenditure on + iPod Dock (€ 34.99) = € 164.79
- Blackberry + iPod Classic + Nintendo DS => Powermat (€ 89.90) + IPod Dock (€ 34.99) + Blackberry Case (€ 34.90) + Case Nintendo. Ds (€ 34.90) = € 194.69
comfort for which we pay good money, that is what we are going to charge a device, you have only one wire instead of two or three.
On the other hand if you want to respond to iPhone or play with Nintendo Ds or send an email with the Blackberry, the charge will stop , unlike normal charger rows.
And if we only supported by a device adapter and a carrying case, buy a white shell with a round wire that will connect the device, going so to spend more than € 100 to spare us the trouble of a few inches of wire.
The "elegant" cases for Apple products then go to almost double their thickness , ditto for the blackberry, just a bit less visible matter related to the small Nintendo console.
The situation that touches on the paradox is that of the normal iPod cable carrying the current to Powermat, which relies on the iPod dock, which absolutely can not be moved or lifted, the interruption of the penalty charge. Worse than the standard dock .
I can say is that normally you have to recharge several devices at once, and then the clutter of cables feel (but how many times have you have to recharge 3 devices simultaneously?) which is a nice gadget and technology (undeniable), but forgive me if with more than 200 € needed to recharge my wireless devices, prefer to buy a new iPod.
