We were few in the cold walls of the former asylum Via Alfieri, and now we are in many heated by the warmth of a broader community that walks with us day after day for a world where rights and freedoms are granted to all without distinction as to race, gender and social status.
For us, the Social Centre Quake was never just a place, but the idea that the concrete material and social cooperation, self-management society and self are possible and increasingly necessary in a time when official policy moves away from the needs and desires of citizens and at the same time the drifts populist attack the fundamental rights of living together.
The ability to give voice and dignity to democracy from the ground up, sharing of experiences and proposals for increased participation of people with the decisions of the community, rejecting any solution to war and repression has always characterized our way. From Genoa to Paris, from Chiapas to Corryong along with all the organizations that have shared with us the battle for another possible world. And so
that we are always returned full of hope and proposals in via Alfieri in Macerata, so they were born elsewhere as the Embassy of the rights that our paths were intertwined with those of our brothers and sisters, temporary migrants, with the student group and throughout the city, claiming and defending those rights which are the foundations of a democratic and civil society.
